I Average One or Two Poems A Day...

I am blessed to wake up everyday inspired by life..and the way I express myself is through my rhyming words...sometimes my words reflect deeper subjects, but sometimes they are just rhyming thoughts that start my day and allow me live within a creative happy place...

I Average One or Two Poems A Day

I average writing one or two poems a day,

I’m blessed to be living in this creative way.

I wake up and my mind is already writing,

And when I complete a poem, it's extremely exciting.

More often than not I am sitting in my chair,

Sipping a cup of coffee while I'm writing there.

The words are just flowing and my fingers try to keep up,

Because the words and the rhymes are already lined up.

It just takes a thought and the theme is decided,

With the subject of my poem already provided.

I just have to write the rest of the rhyming words to the poem,

As I greet my day just creating in my home.

And it is crazy to share that I am inspired in the shower,

Where I have no pen or device and I have to use memory power,

To remember the rhymes as they arrive in my head,

Needing to write them down afterwards before they have fled.

I have to admit I feel truly blessed,

To have written one or two poems before the rest of the day is addressed.

I feel I’ve accomplished something wonderful every single day,

When I can create and pen one or two poems and have my say.
