You know it’s time to make adjustments,

Cause you don’t just leap right in,

You need baby steps here,

That’s how this has always been.

You won’t just take the leap,

And go all in with this,

Because a full-on commitment,

Will end up just being a miss.

You are quite realistic,

And you know your own limits here,

Even though others may jump right in,

Because it is the start of a brand new year.

You however, know yourself well,

And doing a ‘cold-turkey’ will fail,

You know you have to make adjustments,

Or this will be another failure tale.

It’s okay to be honest with yourself,

It’s okay to acknowledge the fears,

You have seen how this works for you,

You have been here over the years.
